Motion:
Member Mosier moved to approve the minutes of the Organizational Meeting on February 22, 2021. Member Bobbitt seconded the motion and all were in favor.

The main purpose of the meeting was to select the recipient of the 2021 Community Service Award.  The nominees were Misty Belford, Edelmira Carrasco, Rhonda Gordon, Christine Luecking, Ed Rodriguez & Hollie Anderson, and the Space Coast Quilters Guild, Inc. Discussion ensued by the committee regarding their top pick of the nominations that the committee received. The next item of business was to select the award for the recipient.  The members were presented with a choice of five awards from the Airflyte catalog. After a brief discussion, the committee came to a consensus and selected award #K9196 as their first choice to be presented to the 2021 recipient.

Liaison Rodriguez reminded the committee that the ceremony would be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. and that the Elk’s would be hosting the ceremony at their new facility at 3450 Kilmarnoch Lane. Liaison Rodriguez asked the committee about their preference for refreshments. The committee came to a concensus to have cookies available for the attendees. Vice-Chair Russell arranged to have Sunrise Bread Company donate between four to five dozen cookies for the ceremony.
