The 2000 Census indicated that 96% of Titusville’s homes were built prior to 1995. The original fixtures (toilets, showerheads, faucets, etc.) used in these homes were manufactured prior to federal legislation requiring water conservation.
To assist those Titusville water customers who own these older homes in their conservation efforts, the Water Resources Conservation Program Office offers the Showerhead Exchange Program, free bathroom faucet aerators, and toilet leak detection tablets.
