The Municipal Code Enforcement Board is a quasi-judicial board made up of 7 volunteer members of the community. The seven regular members include, whenever possible, the following types of citizens:

  • Architect
  • Businessman
  • Engineer
  • General contractor
  • Realtor
  • Subcontractor

The two alternate members may be appointed from the citizenship at large. Members must be a registered voter and resident of the City for a least one year.

Members are appointed by City Council to three-year terms.

It is an administrative board that has the authority to impose fines and other non-criminal penalties to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective, and inexpensive method of endorsing City Codes.

The Code Enforcement Division of the Planning and Growth Management Department serves as staff liaison to the Board and can be reached at 321-567-3770 or 321-264-7800.
