Last Regular Meeting
November 24, 2020
The City Council of the City of Titusville, Florida met in special session in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 555 South Washington Avenue, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020.
Mayor Walt Johnson called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. Present were Mayor Walt Johnson, Vice-Mayor Dan Diesel, and Members Robert Jordan, Jr., Jo Lynn Nelson, and Sarah Stoeckel. Also in attendance were City Manager Scott Larese, City Attorney Richard Broome, and Assistant City Clerk Jolynn Donhoff, who completed the minutes of the meeting.
Approval of Minutes –
Motion:
Member Jordan moved to approve the minutes of the regular City Council meetings of October 27, 2020 (6:30 p.m.) and November 10, 2020, as submitted. Member Nelson seconded the motion and the roll call vote was:

Vice-Mayor Diesel Yes
Member Stoeckel Yes
The motion carried unanimously.
Resolution No. 35-2020 Canvassing the Returns of the November 3, 2020 General Election for City Council, Seats 2, 3, and 4 - City Charter and Section 7-5 of the Code of Ordinances provided for the canvassing of election returns. Pursuant to this section, the returns of the November 3, 2020 general election would be transmitted to the City Council at this meeting. Included in the Council agenda packet was a copy of Resolution No. 35-2020 that canvassed the results of the general election held on November 3, 2020.
Motion:
Member Jordan moved to approve Resolution No. 35-2020, as recommended. Member Nelson seconded the motion.
Stan Johnston submitted a public speaking card. He requested Council approve Resolution No. 35-2020. He also reviewed his concerns about the City, truth, and justice.

The motion carried unanimously.
City Manager Larese presented a video and tribute to Mayor Walt Johnson that captured some of the moments the Mayor served on the City Council over the past several (many) years. City Manager Larese also presented Mayor Johnson with an appreciation plaque and ceremonial gavel. Additionally, each of the City Council members thanked and commended Mayor Johnson on his service to the City, as well as other heart felt testimony about the Mayor.
Public Comment – None.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 10:52 a.m.
