[ARCHIVED] Titusville Reclaimed Water Customers

Orange Florida Reed Orchid

We are currently experiencing issues with our high-service reclaimed water pumps at our Blue Heron Water Reclamation Facility. Because of the issues with the pumps, we cannot supply reclaimed water to our customers on the south end of Titusville. Public Works Utilities is working to restore service as quickly as possible; however, the pump replacement has been delayed due to supply issues. We are working on an alternative that will allow us to provide a minimum service level to our customers in the interim.

We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our customers during this interruption, and we will post updates on this issue on our website.

Reclaimed water is an accessory service: It is not necessary for basic health and safety. Interruptions to service can and do occur. Since reclaimed water use is limited to irrigation and commercial cooling towers, interruptions to service, although inconvenient, are not life-threatening.

We are currently under the Eastern Standard Time irrigation schedule that restricts outside irrigation to once a week. Reclaimed water users are required to follow these irrigation restrictions, as are our residents who use city (potable) water or well water for irrigation. We do not change to the Daylight Saving Time (spring/summer) schedule until March 12. During Daylight Saving Time, irrigation is restricted to twice a week. Click here for the irrigation schedule.
