The City of Titusville has two water reclamation plants, the Blue Heron Water Reclamation Facility and the Osprey Water Reclamation Facility. Both of these facilities provide advanced wastewater treatment. Effluent (reclaimed water) from these plants is available for uses such as irrigation and cooling towers.
About our facilities
The Osprey and the Blue Heron are 24-hour facilities that are staffed around the clock to ensure the quality of the reclaimed water. They are regulated by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and supply data to the St. Johns River Water Management District, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Army Corp. of Engineers. These facilities have the capacity to handle Titusville’s projected growth well into the 21st century.
Guided tours of the Osprey and Blue Heron Water Reclamation Plants are available for groups of five or more. To request a tour, contact Water Reclamation or the Conservation Office.
