A man has been arrested for performing a lewd act inside a local retail venue.
Dylen Luke Shortt, 19, of Cocoa, was arrested and charged with Exposure of Sexual Organs.
At approximately 3:30 PM, on Monday, July 1, 2024, Titusville Police responded to a report of indecent exposure by an adult male in the woman’s and girl’s clothing area of the Target store, located at 3055 Columbia Boulevard.
The suspect was located by responding officers and trespassed from the property.
After further investigation, video surveillance evidence revealed the suspect was sexually exposing his genitalia in the store, enabling police to charge him with a criminal offense.
On Sunday, July 7, 2024, at approximately 9 PM, the suspect turned himself into law enforcement and was taken into custody without incident.
Dylen Luke Shortt was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held on a $1000 bond.
