Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Crash

Titusville Police Department Posted on March 15, 2021

At approximately 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 14, 2021, Titusville Police responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a motorcycle and a car near the intersection of South Street and Rock Pit Road. 

 

The preliminary investigation revealed that Asia Mariah Mayoros, 25, of Titusville, was driving a 2018 Nissan Versa when she failed to yield at a stop sign while attempting to turn from Rock Pit Road to travel east on South Street. Subsequently, Brandon Tyrell Hightower, 29, of Titusville, riding a 2008 Honda motorcycle, traveling westbound on South Street, struck the driver side of Mayoros’ car. 

 

Hightower was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

Mayoros and her juvenile passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.
