At approximately 9:45 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, Titusville Police Officers responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a vehicle and a bicycle near the 1200 block of Garden Street.
The preliminary investigation revealed John Jay Connelly, 57, of Titusville, was traveling eastbound in the bicycle lane on Garden Street and was subsequently struck by a 2015 silver Ford Explorer driven by Brittany Michelle Henderson, 33, of Titusville when he made an abrupt left turn on his bicycle into eastbound motor vehicle traffic.
Mr. Connelly was airlifted to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at approximately 3:00 AM.
There were no other injuries.
This crash remains under investigation and further details will be released upon its conclusion.
