Please join us in congratulating Titusville Police Detective Brandon Williams for being awarded the December 2023 Citywide Employee of the Month City Council Special Recognitions meeting.
Detective Williams, a 3-year veteran of the department, has received this prestigious recognition because of the results of his above-and-beyond efforts within the Criminal Investigations Division.
Detective Brandon Williams was assigned a case involving a possible inappropriate relationship between a juvenile and an adult soccer coach in which the juvenile had run away from home. Detective Williams worked hand-in-hand with the parents and officers across several agencies to locate the juvenile. The juvenile was successfully located in another jurisdiction, in the presence of the adult soccer coach. After the adult was taken into custody, Detective Williams was able to obtain a full confession resulting in the adult soccer coach's arrest.
In addition, Detective Williams was assigned a business burglary case at a local boat business. These types of burglaries usually have a low probability of an arrest; however, Detective Williams did not let this challenge deter his dedication to solving this case. By way of investigative work and intense examination of evidence, Detective Williams identified a suspect and ultimately facilitated the suspect turning himself in to police without incident along with returning the stolen items.
This recognition is a public acknowledgment of Detective Brandon Williams's investigative skills and unsurpassed commitment to the safety of our Titusville community.
