A local man has died nearly two weeks after he was involved in a traffic crash.
Titusville Police Officers responded to a traffic crash involving a bicyclist and vehicle at approximately 7 AM on March 14, 2024, along the 600 block of North Dixie Avenue.
The preliminary investigation revealed Ryan Allan Nelson, 40, of Titusville, driving a white 2016 GMC Sierra truck, traveling northbound on North Dixie Avenue, struck David Lee Lanier, 74, of Titusville, who was riding a bicycle and traveling northbound on North Dixie Avenue. Nelson pulled over after the impact, called 911, and remained on the scene.
Lanier was transported to a local hospital and succumbed to his injuries at approximately 11:50 PM on Monday, March 25, 2024.
There were no other injuries.
This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion by traffic crash investigators.
