A local man has died after sustaining injuries in a traffic crash involving two vehicles occurring on Friday, January 27, 2023 at approximately 1:45 PM near intersection of South Park Avenue and Main Street.
The preliminary investigation revealed Joseph Maurice Leo Rivard, 89, of Titusville, driving a white 2016 Cadillac SRX travelling westbound on Main Street, failed to fully stop at the intersection and was subsequently struck by a 2013 Freightliner M2 semi-truck traveling northbound on South Park Avenue driven by Albert Michael Scara III, 33 of Edgewater.
Rivard was extracted from his vehicle and transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later succumb to his injuries on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
There were no other injuries.
This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion by traffic crash investigators.
