Congratulations to City of Titusville Police Records Specialist Katherine Cheney for being awarded May Citywide Employee of the Month during a recent City Council Special Recognitions meeting.
Ms. Cheney has been a valued team member with the City of Titusville for over 10 years, and for nearly the past 2 years, she has held a position within the records section of the police department. She has received this prestigious recognition because of her grace under fire during a critical incident at her workplace.
Ms. Cheney was calm and quick to action when a co-worker suffered a sudden serious medical event within the confines of the main office of the Titusville Police Records Section. Her composed actions were responsible for the call for emergency medical personnel and immediate first aid and comfort for her fellow team member in crisis.
“Katherine is an amazing person, compassionate individual, and an all-around assist to this department as well as the City”, said Titusville Police Records Manager, Lavada Jenkins. “I believe in my heart that if Katherine had not jumped into action as quickly as she did, the outcome would have been much different,” added Jenkins.
This recognition is a public acknowledgment of Katherine Cheney’s incredible work ethic and unsurpassed commitment to the well-being of her co-workers and the Titusville community.
