Man Killed in Traffic Crash

A local man has died in connection to a two-vehicle traffic crash occurring at approximately 7:30 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the intersection of Barna Avenue and Columbia Boulevard (S.R. 405).

 

The preliminary investigation revealed Erik R. Sayer, 50, of Titusville, driving a white 2002 Toyota Camary, traveling northbound on Barna Avenue, while crossing the intersection of S.R. 405, was struck on the passenger side of his vehicle by a 1998 red Dodge Dakota truck traveling westbound on S.R. 405, driven by Alyssa D. Hall, 44, of Cocoa.

 

Sayer was transported to a local hospital and succumbed to his injuries at 8:02 PM.

 

Hall sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.  

 

There were no other injuries. 

 

This remains an ongoing traffic investigation, and traffic crash investigators will release further details upon its conclusion.
