Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

Titusville Police have arrested a local man who shot an adult male victim several times in a deliberate attempt to kill him.

 

KYLE PATRICK LAWSON, 23, of Titusville was charged with Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree.

 

On Saturday, February 13, 2021 at approximately 4:30 PM, Titusville Police responded to a report of shots fired on the 900 block of Wager Avenue.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect had a verbal altercation with the victim. The suspect then shot the victim several times and immediately fled the scene on foot.

 

Within the hour, officers located the suspect, matching the description provided by witnesses, on the 900 block of Olive Street.

 

The suspect, who was in possession of a concealed .40 caliber handgun, was positively identified and taken into custody.

 

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

 

Lawson was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held without bond.

 

This remains an ongoing investigation and more details will be released by detectives upon its conclusion.
