Titusville Police have arrested a local man and woman after they recklessly fled from police on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
VAL TRAMAINE GRAYSON Jr., 32, of Titusville was charged with:
- MDMA (AKA ECSTASY/MOLLY) Trafficking
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession of Marijuana
- 4 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription
- Fleeing and Eluding at a High Speed
- Driving with a Suspended License with Knowledge
- 2 Counts Violation of Parole
ASHLEY NICOLE WALDEN, 27, of Titusville was charged with:
- 4 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription
- Trafficking of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Marijuana
At 3 PM at the intersection of Queen Street and DeLeon Avenue, a 2019 red Hyundai Elantra, immediately identified by the specialized Titusville Police Anti-Crime Enforcement (ACE) Team as a vehicle with a recent documented history of fleeing from law enforcement on multiple occasions, failed to make a complete stop at a posted stop sign.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The driver failed to comply to law enforcement, then fled at a high rate of speed. Within minutes, the vehicle was tactically stopped by officers near the Highway U.S. 2500 block in Mims.
Grayson, the driver, and the passenger, Walden, were removed from the disabled vehicle and taken into custody and booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond and a $23,500 bond respectively.
In addition, numerous amounts of illegal drugs in various quantities were seized from the vehicle.
“The safety of our citizens is our agency’s highest priority”, said Corporal John Cantalupo. “The controlled vehicle apprehension executed by highly trained officers resulted in the arrest of a dangerous convicted felon with a long criminal history, who now faces decades in prison”, added Cantalupo.
