Motorcyclist Dies After Traffic Crash

Titusville Police Department Posted on September 07, 2022

A local woman has died following a traffic crash that occurred on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at approximately 6:50 AM, involving a motorcycle and car at the intersection of South Washington Avenue (U.S.#1) and Garden Street. 

 

The preliminary investigation revealed, a white 2019 Honda HRV SUV traveling eastbound on Garden Street, driven by Payton Taylor Blanchard, 29, of Titusville, failed to stop at a red light and subsequently struck a 2021 Honda motorcycle traveling north on U.S.#1, driven by Patricia Marie Clark, 80, of Cocoa.

 

Clark was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to her injuries at 4:20 AM on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

 

There were no other injuries.

 

This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and more details will be released upon its conclusion.
