Pedestrian Dies after Traffic Crash

Titusville Police Department Posted on October 28, 2022

A local man has died approximately two weeks after he was struck by a motorist.  

 

The preliminary investigation revealed on October 5, 2022, just before Oak Park Elementary school arrival time, the victim, Howard Raymond Longchamps, 70, of Titusville, was walking south in the crosswalk at the 3300 block of Dairy Road, when he was struck and thrown nearly ten feet off the roadway by a black 2017 Mazda 6 sedan traveling eastbound on Dairy Road, driven by 35-year-old Daniel Emilio Diaz of Titusville.  

  

Longchamps was transported to a local hospital in serious condition where he succumb to his injuries on October 21, 2022.

 

There were no other injuries.
