Man Dies Days After Traffic Crash

Titusville Police Department Posted on September 26, 2023

A local man has died after sustaining injuries in a traffic crash involving two vehicles which occurred on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 11 AM near the intersection of South Washington Avenue (US 1) and Garden Street (SR 406). 

 

The preliminary investigation revealed Loren Cleveland Turner, 90, of Titusville, who was driving a tan 2006 Saturn Ion northbound on US 1, failed to comply with a red traffic signal and was subsequently struck by a 2014 grey Dodge Grand Caravan traveling eastbound on SR 406 driven by Pamela J. Leblanc, 63, of Titusville.

 

Leblanc was extracted from her vehicle and transferred to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

Turner was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. On September 16, 2023, at approximately 7 AM Turner succumbed to his injuries sustained during the traffic crash.

 

There were no other injuries. 

 

This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion by traffic crash investigators.
