Titusville Police have arrested a local man for the stabbing death of an adult female victim.
STEVEN O’NEIL SMITH, 56, of Titusville was charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree.
On Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 4:10 AM, Titusville Police responded to a report made by a concerned neighbor in reference to a suspicious incident at a residence on the 3000 block of Sandalwood Lane.
Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect, who was covered in what appeared to be blood, sitting on the front porch of the residence.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the victim, Beverly Denise Fayson, 69, of Titusville, who was in a domestic relationship with the suspect, was killed inside the residence by the suspect.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Smith was taken into custody without incident, transported to a local hospital for treatment of an injury, which occurred before officers arrived, then booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond.
This remains an ongoing homicide investigation.
