Officer Involved Shooting

Titusville Police Department Posted on February 08, 2025

An Officer Involved shooting occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Friday February 7, 2025, in the area of Robbins Ave in Titusville. 

 

Officers had responded to the area shortly after 9 PM in reference to a suspicious incident investigation. Officers encountered Tri-Marea Rayquan Charles, 25, of Titusville, who was armed with a handgun and shots were fired.

 

Charles was transported to the hospital for a gunshot injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.  

 

The Titusville Officers involved in the shooting were not injured.

 

Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) responded to the scene and is conducting the investigation into the shooting.

 

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to process the forensics/evidence portion of the investigation.

 

Further information will be released at the conclusion of FDLE’s investigation.
