An architect or engineer registered in the State of Florida must prepare and place their seal on all plans for the following types of structures:
- All assembly, educational, institutional, and multi-family occupancies.
- Buildings and structures three or more stories in height.
- Buildings and structures of 5,000 square feet or more in area.
- Details showing plans comply with Chapter 16 of the Florida Building Code, which addresses wind loading or hurricane and storm wind resistance requirements.
