Community Relations

Mission

The Community Relations Division supports the City’s efforts to educate the public on local city government, resolve citizen concerns, enhance knowledge of local government and community issues and activities, and provides support for emergency operations and broadcasting. The department provides a variety of services to support both staff and the public, and manages audiovisual equipment, broadcasting, graphic design, video production, social media, and the city website.

Responsibilities

The Community Relations department serves as a point of contact for citizen concerns with local government, and attempts to facilitate a resolution by all legal and ethical means.

Outreach

Charged with educating the public on the interests and actions of the City of Titusville, Community Relations accomplishes this through a wide variety of media including:

Government Meetings are broadcast live and saved for playback on the City's Youtube Channel. Meetings regularly scheduled for broadcast include:

  • Titusville City Council
  • Community Redevelopment Agency
  • Titusville Environmental Commission
  • Code Enforcement Special Magistrate Hearings
  • Board of Adjustments and Appeals
  • Planning and Zoning Commission

Department Support

The division assists City staff through a number of different tasks, including audiovisual support, website and ADA training, graphic and video design, online marketing, and electronic sign management.

Titusville Talking Points

Community Relations also publishes the quarterly magazine and video series, Titusville Talking Points. Releasing midmonth every January, April, July, and October, the series features government updates, local feature stories, development spotlights, and other information useful to the public. The magazine can be read online, and limited hard copies are available each quarter for free at City Hall while supplies last. The video interpretation can be found on the City's Youtube Channel.
