Construction related to the Indian River Force Main Project will result in the following closures:
- Orange Avenue from US 1 to the west side of the Beachwave store driveway will be closed to through traffic. Driveway access to Beachwave store remains available at this time.
- Indian River Avenue from the intersection of South Street north to Pine Street.
Construction for the Indian River Force Main Project started Monday, August 7. The project includes replacing approximately 8,000 feet of existing sewer force main from South Street to the Osprey Water Reclamation Facility on Buffalo Road in north Titusville. The force main replacement will start at the intersection of South Street and Indian River Avenue and will continue north under the Max Brewer Causeway, U S Highway 1, and a portion of the FEC railroad, ending at the Osprey Facility. Road closures to through traffic will occur during construction; however, roads will remain open to local traffic for residents and businesses in the area. Titusville’s Public Works is working with the contractor to minimize the effect of the closures on residents, and closures will be limited to block segments at any one time. Anticipated closures will be posted on Titusville’s website and social media at least 36 hours prior to occurrence. Titusville residents should check the website for the latest information on the project.
