Free Smoke Detector Program Information

Free Smoke Detectors for Low Income Households

The key to survival in a house fire is early detection! In an effort to make sure that residents within the City of Titusville who can’t afford smoke detectors are protected from fires and alerted quickly, Titusville Fire and Emergency Services is now providing smoke detectors free of charge to low and moderate income households (as established by federal guidelines). This program is only available to homeowners within the city limits of Titusville.

Qualifications

To see if you qualify for free detectors and an application form, please contact Titusville Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters at 321-567-3800. Once an application has been completed and approved, a crew from your nearest fire station will visit and properly install the detectors for you.
