The "File of Life" program provides our community members with a way to store information about their medical history and their medications in a file that is easily recognizable to emergency service workers. In an emergency, every second is critical. This information is extremely vital when a person in crisis is unable to communicate due to problems such as heart attack, seizures, diabetes, and stroke. By filling in medical information on the information sheet and inserting it in the magnetically backed file and placing it on the outside of the person’s refrigerator, emergency crews can locate it quickly and begin potentially life-saving procedures tailor-made based on that patient’s medical history
