Congratulations City of Titusville Senior Code Enforcement Specialist, Megan Laurencio, who recently earned the certification of Florida State Fire Inspector 1.
Megan Laurencio is a 7-year member of the the Code Enforcement Division, which performs field inspections on a proactive and reactive basis for the site, utility, landscaping, and public nuisances.
Megan attended over 200 hours of fire prevention education and passed the Florida State Exam qualifying her for this valuable certification. She has acquired a knowledge base in fire code, which will add in documentation for the City of Titusville Special Magistrate.
Megan’s motivation to achieve this certification evolved from a client care initiative during the COVID pandemic in a direct response to improve Code Enforcement customer service and provide outreach to the community she serves.
Megan is also credited with spearheading the Neighborhood Improvement Through Code Enforcement (NICE) program specializing in beautifying challenging areas throughout the City of Titusville.
“Megan, who an instrumental piece of our Division’s achievement of national accreditation, simultaneously earned Fire Inspector 1 certification, along with Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Practitioner inspections incorporating the fire codes, city codes and crime prevention”, said Code Enforcement Manager Glenn Tolleson. “Her dedication and work ethic, enables our team to provide the very best services for our community”, added Tolleson.
